What to put on a FREE shirt

A FREE shirt has three lines: the top word, the name, and an optional second line under it. Here's what people put on theirs.

The top word

FREE is the classic, and it's set by default. You can change it to anything up to 14 characters (letters, spaces, apostrophes, hyphens, periods and &). Some that work:

The name

Use the name everybody calls them, not the one on the paperwork. Big Dre reads better from across the street than Andre Lamont Williams. Nicknames, initials and titles all work: Tony B, JR, Pops, Mama, Unc. Up to 28 characters, and long names are measured letter by letter so they fit across the chest.

Second lines

Up to 32 characters: letters, numbers, spaces, apostrophes and . , & # ! ? -

Picking a photo

The photo is optional and prints between the top word and the name. A few things make it print well:

Only upload photos you have the right to use. We check every photo, and won't print violence, gore, hate or sexual content.

The lettering

Four styles: Stencil (our house look), Old English, Marker and Block. The builder shows each one with your words, so try them all.

Black or white

On a black shirt the lettering prints white. On a white shirt it prints black. Switch the colour in the builder and the preview changes with it, so try both.
